Pakualaman Palace

This magnificent and well-preserved Puro Pakualaman, located 2 km east of Sultan Palace at Sultan Agung Street. The 5400 sq.m palace compound reflects a strong center of Javanese culture. The architect of this Puro (palace) was K.G.P.A.A. Paku Alam I himself, who was an expert in culture and literature. Visitors can enjoy the beautiful palace architecture, museum, royal heirloom and heritage, and holy ancestor's culture, tradition, and way of life and thinking of Mataram Kingdom.
